BANQUETS DEPARTMENT:
*** SECOND COOK: Minimum of two years commercial cooking experience required. Good working knowledge of general cooking techniques, such as: sauté, grilling, broiling, vegetable and starch prep. Must be able to read and speak English at a level to communicate with coworkers and perform basic mathematical functions in order to follow recipe card formulas. Ability to perform tasks in quickly, accurately and in an organized manner.
COMMUNICATIONS:
*** PBX OPERATOR: Answer internal and external telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner, direct calls through the hotel switchboard. Input wake-up calls and messages into the system, retrieve messages as requested. Actively coordinate communications within the hotel including emergency procedures, alarms, life safety, natural disaster, and act as liaison to all appropriate local Emergency Services.
GUEST SERVICES DEPARTMENT:
*** DOOR ATTENDANT (TEMPORARY): Prior hospitality experience preferred. Excellent communication skills a must. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage weighing up to 100 lbs. throughout the shift. Considerable knowledge of local attractions, hotel facilities and services or ability to learn this information quickly a must. Must have extensive knowledge of city and surrounding areas or ability to learn this information quickly. Must be able to drive all types of vehicles including foreign, exotic and manual transmissions. Must have a valid California driver’s license and good driving record. Must be fluent in English.
